#আড্ডাখানায়_রকমারী #রিভিউ_২০২৩ Book name:Inferno Writer:Dan Brown Publisher:Transworld publisher Foreword: As we know a pandemic is always a curse. But what if a pandemic becomes a blessing for the world. And this pandemic will transform the world forever. In this modern era, It is easy to discover the unknown things, invent new things and develop the old pattern by means of science. Besides, Science and technology helps us to solve many problems surrounding us.But sometimes science takes a violence way to solve the problem. The writer Dan Brown tried to illustrate the devastating ways that science has taken to solve a big problem in the world through his novel "Inferno". Story in brief: The " Inferno" is mainly centered around a lunatic genetic engineer named Zobrist. As He is a genetic engineer so he believes that transhumanism - is bettering the species through technology. And he also believes that without curbing the population growth rate, it is quite impossible to have the benefit of transhumanism. Moreover, His passion for the Population Apocalypse Equation persuades him to see the global benefits of the Black plague. In his opinion ,the growing rate of population, regardless the proportion of wealth in the world, is causing all kinds of conflict, wars and Struggles. So to survive our species in this world and to bring peace Zobrist has made an equation that is Population Apocalypse Equation.Through this equation he tries to prove that we have to keep the population in 1.5 million least if we really want to live in peace and escape from all types of crisis, dreads, shortages and poverty. Additionally, he makes a delirious remark that the black plague of the 14th century was a blessing for the world. Above all, pandemics, plagues and diseases are blessings in his eyes. That's why he started criticizing the WHO and the other organization for developing vaccines that make people immune to certain diseases like polio, smallpox etc.Apparently,Zobrist thinks that those organization showing double standard at a time.So he takes grave initiative. To control the growth of the population he wants to discover a drastic virus and provokes the secretary Elizabeth Sinskey of the WHO to help him to implement his plan. But she refuses to help him at all. Then he goes to a secret group where he keeps doing his research to discover the virus. But when Sinskey comes to know that Zobrist is really going to discover the virus. She sends the SRS team to find him out and to end the research work. But before he caught up,he had already finished his research . And then he commits suicide .However, before he committing suicide, he asked the provost of the secret group to do two tasks: upload a video and hand a biotube to the secretary Elizabeth Sinskey. When Sinskey gets the biotube in hand, she fall into disappointment because the content of the biotube was too complex to decipher. The content is an illustration that is based on a renowned poet Dante's 'the divine comedy' and drawn by the famous artist Botticelli.Sinskey is certain that this content carried something terrific which could have caused many lives to be lost.So to decipher the content of the biotube she invites the symbologist Robert Langdon. From here, the story begins. Robert Langdon advances with a few lines from Dante's masterpiece inferno. And he is able to decipher the content of the biotube.Throughout his journey to find the answer, Sienna Brooks company him as well as helps him to reach Zobrist. Feedback: Like the other series of Robert Langdon by Dan Brown , this Inferno series also delighted and enthralled me.All series of Robert Langdon penetrate a grave shock as well as surprises to me.In fact, the reason I love this series the most is that the appearance of all stories starts with a history. However, the book "Inferno " has intensely won my heart and hit my thoughts as well. From this story, I have become acquainted with many artists and poets like Botticelli, Dante,Giorgio Vasari etc. Moreover, I have come to learn about today's most resonating movement, Transhumanism. Apart from that, the description of all the museums of Florence was quite interesting to me and every time I feel like I am roaming around in Florence. Lastly, I believe that it is an astonishingly rich story and lively story.Every person should read this book. And I would like to end my review with my favourite quote from this book: "The truth can be glimpsed only through the eyes of death."

I really enjoyed this book. I have read the previous books Brown has written about Langdon, and I enjoyed those too. I find the book well written and descriptive. I would recommend this book to anyone who has read other books by brown and enjoyed them, in order to read Inferno you need to have a certain amount of background information on the story.

Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon wakes up in a hospital in Florence with mild amnesia. A woman with spiked hair breaks in and kills his doctor. Still groggy and trailing his tubes, he flees with a young woman named Sienna Brooks. At her flat he discovers that his Harris Tweed jacket contains a cylinder with an ominous message based on Dante’s Divine Comedy. The future of the world is at stake and only Langdon can save it. Suddenly… You get the idea. In the era of post-modernism, every text can be deconstructed. From that point of view, there is something genuinely intriguing about Brown’s formulaic writing. Inferno, like the other Robert Langdon novels, is a collage of bits and bobs from high Western culture experienced without a coherent narrative. It appeals to readers' bowerbird desire to collect glittering factoids about a past which most of them do not understand or appreciate. Consequently, reading Inferno is like surfing through Wikipedia entries on Florence, Venice and Istanbul. I wonder if the tourism authorities in these cities paid Brown to promote their attractions in the novels. Crowds are sure to follow the tracks of Harvard “symbologist” Robert Langdon and Sienna as they flee from police, agents of the World Health Organization and assassins. Anyway, Robert Langdon is back again with a thrilling masterpiece. It's full with Art, History, Codes & Symbols. Been waiting for this book a long time. So here it is. If u like Dan Brown's writing, u will surely enjoy it.
